1. Carrot - 450 g (around 3 cups when grated)
2. Sugar - 1 cup
3. Ghee - 3 table spoon
4. Cashewnut - 7-8
5. Kismis - 1 table spoon
6. cardamom (elakka) - 2
7. Milk - 1 cup
PREPARATION
1. Peel off skin and grate the carrots Pressure cook this with milk for 5 minutes
2. Heat 2 table spoons of ghee in a pan and fry the cahew nuts and kismis. Keep aside.
3. Add the cooked carrot and sugar to the ghee. Cook on medium flame till all the water is gone and a semi solid mass is ontained Add the remaining ghee and crushed cardamom and cook again stirring continuously. When the halwa starts leaving the sides of the pan switch off the stove and add the cashew nuts and kismis. Mix well.
